Weekly Communion
Weekly Communion
RBCNC places a high value on weekly communion. The Lord's Supper is the "visible gospel," the gospel to our five senses. It teaches us about Christ's victorious death for our sins as the Divine Warrior and of his return to take his Bride to heaven where we will eat together at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As the gospel, it is the vital message we have to proclaim and want to proclaim it as often as possible. The supper is also a means of grace, and since we want as much of God's grace as possible, we desire more intimate fellowship with both him and one another as we partake of spiritual food at the table together. Finally, bread and wine was the staple of all covenant renewals. It was proof-positive to the lesser party that the covenanting God had indeed done all that was necessary to secure the blessings of the covenant. We consider communion the high point of our worship together.stack more of these blocks to describe items with imagery.
